About my cats

When I was younger, we had a family dog. She was a maltese that was big for her breed. She was put down in 1994.

In December 1994, I got a cat from my friend. His name was Whisky and he was 1 1/2 years old at that time.
He was my almost constant companion for 15 years! He moved with me about 14 times. Every move except for the 3rd one, he took in stride. The 3rd move, he skitted under the bed for 3 days. If he came out, it was when I was asleep. He was always a docile cat and never bit or scratched in anger. He also almost always slept on the bed with me, but always down by my feet. It wasn't until September 2007 that he started sleeping next to my side. He did that until the day he went to the Rainbow Bridge on January 5th, 2010.

In September of 2001, I got Whisky a friend. His name was Oliver....
He was about half the size of Whisky. He was 3 1/2 years old when I got him. His previous "owner" dropped him off in a box at a vet hospital. It only took 4 days for them to become friends. Unfortunately, Oliver only lived another 4 years. He came down with a sudden case of Renal Failure and I made the decision to have him PTS. After he was gone, I started reading a book called "Outwitting Cats" by Wendy Christensen. I wish that I had read it when Oliver was alive. See, I was always trying to shape Oliver's personality into Whisky's, but according to the book, that is not possible. Anyway, he is in a better place now.

Which brings me to Patch....
He was born on August 22, 2010 to a beautiful mother...
Patch is practically full-grown at 6months! He will be a large cat! I got him at 8 weeks old, my Mom's birthday, October 18th.
